ornaments and fumanchu
![]() |
Before last weekend, I had never personally seen an ornament larger than my head. But that's exactly what I witnessed at the ACC Girlfriends Christmas Party. Giggles. Ornaments and tons of food. I wasn't supposed to be there at all, except I couldn't resist a photo moment. Ornaments larger than human heads. I can now check that off of my list of things to do before I die. I do still need to go sky diving, rocky mountain climbing and ride for 2.7 seconds on a bull named Fumanchu... However, I'm currently working on loving deeper, speaking sweeter and giving forgiveness like never before... |
| There's something about 57 women getting together and ooohing and aaahing over Christmas ornaments that makes me smile about how God makes men and women different. At the same time, He uniquely makes all of us with hearts that are tender towards different things. He gives us all abilities & talents to cultivate into making a difference in this world. God gives us personalities that become the lens by which we view the world and navigate life. He gives us experiences; those positive, painful and neutral elements of our past that have influenced our thinking and our approach to life. You might say that all of these pieces (heart, abilities, personality and experience) is how God has uniquely shaped us. Sometimes we wonder why we were shaped a certain way. Something we can always be prayerful about is asking God what He wants us to do with our shape. We might also say, "God, use my shape to make a difference for your glory. I want to surrender to You and allow You to use the way You have uniquely shaped me to make a difference in the lives of other people for no other purpose than to bring you glory." When we line up the things on our Do Before I Die List, underneath bringing Glory to God, I'm convinced that we'll live a life that fully uses our shape ... Now if I could only hold a ginourmous Christmas ornament while riding Fumanchu ... | |

I do believe the BoB needs to revoke your "Guy Card"! Make sure you bring it to church on Sunday 8-)

Great to hear from you! Thanks for the comments.
I actually HAVE considered writing a book one day. Still working on what it might be about....
Maybe something like, "Fumanchu is NOT a Vegetable Dip" or "Shoe Phones and Other Things That Got Soul"...
Merry Christmas!!!
