amazing morning grace

Just wrapped up our Saturday morning time of hanging with 30 guys from ACC. Band of Brothers meets every other Saturday morning from 7:30 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. for breakfast, cool grooves and great time of kicking the tires about our faith. After the great food, we break up in to small groups to hang, learn and grow together in our relationship with God and with other men. My group was in charge of the food prep and clean-up today. Lara spent several hours last night making an amazing breakfast casserole affectionately called "morning grace" casserole. It's amazing stuff. Amazing morning grace you might say. And THEN she got up at 5:00 a.m. to finish making it so I could leave by 6:30 a.m. It was killer. Then she made a new recipe that was a cross between french toast and custard. It was spectacular. A huge hit. Everybody loved it. She bails me out all the time when I'm responsible for anything related to the kitchen. She's amazing. Reminds me of a certain men's pie contest that I won in 2002 .... The ladies just arrived for their time to hang together. Girlfriends meets right after Band of Brothers from 9:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. and do the same thing. Connect with each other and with God. |

| Lara brought two more pans of that tasty casserole and french custard toast thingamabob for Girlfriends. I'm sure the ladies will dig it and ask for the recipe. Amazing morning grace is where it's at .... Us guys talked in our time together about grace. The idea that we extend to someone else something that they might not deserve and/or didn't earn. Which is exactly what Jesus did for you and I. Grace is cool. It's pretty amazing. God gives each of us forgiveness even when we don't deserve it and can't earn it. Amazing morning grace.... |
